Social Media Summer School 2016

August can be a welcomed quiet time for many of us – families and and businesses alike – so it’s a great opportunity to dedicate time to either take part in our educational programme and commit an hour a week to understanding what exactly this insta-who and snap-what talk is all about, or to commit time to getting your business’ social media game up and running or up to scratch.

Naturally Social’s summer school is made up of two elements: one for businesses and one for parents. One is development and one is education.

Below are details of the summer school programmes we’ll be running throughout August 2016. Booking is via Eventbrite, in advance, and we regret that we are unable to provide refunds. Monies are, however, transferable.

Education Programme

If, as a parent, you find the never ending changes to social media trends confusing and hard to keep up with this is a great opportunity to get clued up in a supportive, informal, setting.

The Summer School has been created from a desire to help parents understand the use, capabilities and the ‘lingo’ of various social media apps in order to support conversations with their children about social media and to also help demystify the why’s, what’s and how’s of a digital era.

There will be 4 sessions throughout August, each lasting 60 minutes. This is a chance for you to finally stop guessing and seek some answers. No questions will be too small or too big. The main sites we will be focusing on will be Instagram, Snapchat and Musical.ly, with opportunity to attend further classes on Facebook security, Twitter & YouTube.

Cost: £40pp Tickets available: on eventbrite

Business Programme

Snapchat is now used by more people on a daily basis than Twitter and users consume 10 billion video views every single day. That’s as much as Facebook and it hasn’t been around half as long.

This is a two hour, interactive, workshop which will introduce you to the basics of Snapchat and will explain how the app works. We’ll look at all the features of Snapchat and the opportunites these offer to businesses and organisations, both large and small alike. We’ll also take look at case studies from individuals and brands doing it well.

Cost: £45 Tickets available: on eventbrite

If getting to grips with Facebook and Twitter has been on your to-do list for months, this is your opportunity to finally tick it off. Many small businesses acknowledge they should be using social but don’t have the time to get it set up and going. So this one’s for you.. One day out of your diary that will have you ready for a lifetime of success.
